Mapping
You’ve probably already noticed that some of the CuculCan timelines now have Google maps in the background. Mapping is the last must-have feature for version 1.0. So a timeline can now have a background image, charts and a map, although you probably don’t want to have all three in a single timeline. To have a map in a timeline background, you need to have at least one event with a location. Then click on the timeline’s Map Inspector to assign the map type. Charting New to charting is the set minimum and maximum feature, that lets you control the scale of a chart. It’s really useful for a chart that has similar values, like the 100 Meter Dash timeline, where the values make a pretty flat chart if the bottom of the chart scale is 0 seconds.

Minor Features, Remaining Bugs For the rest of March, we’ll be adding minor features (the Values Inspector, for example, doesn’t have a way to specify a time value, a somewhat ironic oversight) and trying to find and fix bugs (there may be one involving the Links Inspector that we can’t pin down). New Timelines Since we’re still in beta, we don’t have very many timelines, so instead of making you do fruitless searches, here’s a list of the timelines currently under development
